Firefighter Among 3 Injured In Gloucester County House Fire

SWEDESBORO, N.J. (CBS) – Three people, including a firefighter, were injured in a house fire in Gloucester County Thursday morning.
The fire started shortly before 3 a.m. inside a home in the 300 block of Weatherby Avenue in Swedesboro.
When firefighters arrived, they encountered heavy smoke and flames billowing from the home. Firefighters were able to place the fire under control in approximately 30 minutes.
Fire officials say two residents inside the home were injured and were taken to Crozer-Chester Medical Center in unknown conditions.
The injured firefighter was taken to Inspira Medical Center Woodbury for treatment of a knee injury.
The home sustained heavy damage as a result of the fire.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
