Fire Department: iPhone Burns Through A Dozen Notebook Pages
CHERRY HILL, NJ (CBS) -- Has your phone ever suddenly felt really hot?
According to the Cherry Hill Fire Department, an iPhone 6 that was lying on top of a notebook burned through approximately a dozen pages.
Officials say the iPhone, belonging to a Cherry Hill West High School student, was not plugged in, nor was it being used at the time.
It is unclear what caused the iPhone to heat up.
The fire department urges anyone that has this happen to their phone to report it to the Consumer Product Safety Commission.
