Fire Breaks Out At Atlantic City Restaurant
ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. (CBS) - The Atlantic City Fire Department responded to a fire in the Borgata Hotel Casino Sunday night.
It happened at about 8:45 p.m. at the Fornelletto Restaurant where authorities say a minor fire ignited in the kitchen. Firefighters were able to extinguish the flames within minutes.
Authorities say the damage was minimal and confined to the kitchen. The restaurant has closed temporarily, but the remainder of the Borgata's facilities, including the casino, is in full operation. Officials did not find an evacuation to be necessary.
The fire department is still evaluating the damage and the restaurant will open within a few days once it receives approval from the health department.
No injuries were reported.
