FEMA To Begin Deploying Temporary Housing To Displaced NJ Residents On Monday
WASHINGTON, DC (CBS) – FEMA will begin deploying temporary housing to residents displaced by Hurricane Sandy as early as this coming Monday.
In a release from New Jersey Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr., he says, "I am pleased to report that FEMA will begin the process of deploying temporary housing such as mobile homes and trailers to New Jersey residents as soon as this coming Monday. This move will help get people situated in appropriate temporary housing, keeping them in their own communities and near their damaged homes."
Pallone also said that FEMA is working with both state and local officials to determine where trailers and mobile homes will be most suitable, but emphasized that the agency will try to keep families as close to their former homes as possible.
