Federal Agents Raid Office In Cherry Hill

CHERRY HILL, N.J., (CBS) -- A federal raid Wednesday morning caught nearby employees off-guard at the office complex on Deer Road in Cherry Hill.
"The swat team was out there and they all started running towards the end of the building across from us," says Kim Legge who works in Val Associates Laboratory.
"I see out of the corner of my eye this flash, this big loud boom," says Chuck Rickards who also works at Val Associates.
The US Secret Service says the raid was part of a confidential case they would only describe as involving counterfeit money. They confirmed there were several arrests but they won't say who or what was going on inside Suite 18 on 620 Deer Road.
Employees in the surrounding offices say the tenants only came to the front door to smoke cigarettes and never spoke to anyone.
"We don't know anything, they kept to themselves, there's no advertisement on the windows," says Legge.
Several people told CBS 3 they noticed unmarked government cars staking out the area for weeks.
Legge says there seemed to be three men and one woman who frequented the office. She and Rickards say they saw one of those men taken into custody.
"He was a really big guy," says Richards, "they took him, they had him in hand cuffs. After that they kept going out back bringing out boxes and stuff like that"
With so little known about the counterfeit scheme and those involved – people are puzzled about what went on behind the blinds in this office space.
