FBI Searching for 'Armed & Dangerous' Bank Robbers In Philly
PHILADELPHIA (CBS)—Police in Philadelphia are searching for two suspects involved in multiple bank robberies on Saturday.
The first incident happened around 10:28 a.m. at the Citizens Bank located in the 8000 block of Germantown Ave.
Police say a armed man approached the teller and demanded money. The suspect then fled south on Germantown Ave. with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Around 11:59 a.m. the Citizen Bank robbery suspect and another man entered a TD Bank located in the 5500 block of Ridge Ave. and demanded money from the teller.
Police say one of the suspects displayed a handgun before fleeing with an undisclosed amount of cash.
The suspects are described as black men, both wearing black ski masks covering the lower portion of their faces.
One suspect was seen wearing a light gray hooded sweatshirt, jeans and tan Timberland boots.
Police say the second suspect had on a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt, jeans, black gloves and dark-colored shoes.
The firearm used in the robberies is described as a black, compact semi-automatic handgun.
The men are considered armed and dangerous.
