FBI Search Of Schuylkill River To Resume Tuesday
PHILADELPHIA (AP) -- The FBI is expected to resume its search of the Schuylkill River in Philadelphia, but still hasn't said what it's looking for.
An agency spokeswoman, Carrie Adamowski, says an underwater search and response team and other land-based agents began searching the river in the East Falls section around 9 a.m. Monday. She wouldn't say what they were looking for. (See Related Story)
An FBI team circled the water near the East Falls Bridge in a small boat then waited by the river as a diver descended. The diver emerged just after 12 p.m. and swam to the bank, but did not pull anything out of the water.
Investigators say the search ended around 5 p.m. Monday, but is expected to resume Tuesday.
