Fans Hope Eagles Land "Ha Ha" Clinton-Dix In The First Round Of NFL Draft

By Andrew Porter

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Will the Eagles take a wide receiver with their first pick to replace DeSean Jackson? Will they take a defensive player first and get a receiver later in the draft? Will they consider moving up? Moving back? Will they trade Nick Foles if it means they can get the polarizing Johnny Manziel?

All these questions will finally be answered tonight when the NFL draft finally gets underway. With the 22nd pick in the first round, there are a ton of different possibilities for the Eagles, and everyone has their own opinion.

On Wednesday, former Alabama safety, Ha'Sean "Ha Ha" Clinton-Dix sent a text message to Eagles director of player personnel Ed Marynowitz. According to Geoff Mosher of CSNPhilly.com, Clinton-Dix said, "I told him to tell them [the Eagles] to come get me, please. Whatever it takes."

Well, Eagles fans are reciprocating the safety's desire to play in Philadelphia, as Clinton-Dix received the plurality of the votes on the WIP Morning Show's Audio Roadshow poll question, which asked fans who they want the Eagles to draft on Thursday night.

Angelo Cataldi and the WIP Morning Show highlighted the following five specific targets for the Eagles in their Audio Roadshow poll question on Thursday morning.

Anthony Barr, LB, UCLA

Barr, 6'5", 225 pounds, is very explosive and can make impact plays at the outside linebacker position rushing the passer in the Eagles 3-4 defensive scheme. Barr's father, Tony Brooks, was drafted by the Eagles in the 4th round in 1992.

Barr is projected to be selected in the mid-first round.

Ha'Sean "Ha Ha" Clinton-Dix, S, Alabama

Clinton-Dix is a safety with good size, 6'1", 208 pounds, who is an excellent tackler. Clinton-Dix has expressed interest for playing in Philadelphia, and as a physical safety, fits a need for the Eagles.

Clinton-Dix is projected to be selected in the mid-first round.

Kyle Fuller, CB, Virginia Tech

Fuller is a corner back with good size, 6'0", 190 pounds, good ball skills, and can contribute on special teams. Fuller has been a team captain with Virginia Tech and comes from a family where his brothers and cousins played football.

Fuller is projected to be selected in rounds 1 or 2.

Johnny Manziel, QB, Texas A&M

We all know about Johnny Football. He is the most talked about, polarizing player in the NFL draft. Manziel, a 6'0", 207 pounds quarterback who is a dynamic athlete that can do just about anything on the field, has been projected anywhere from first overall to out of the first round all together. More than likely, the Eagles will have to trade up if they want Johnny Football.

Manziel is projected to be selected in rounds 1 or 2.

Marqise Lee, WR, USC

Lee, 6'0", 192 pounds, is one of the top receivers in a receiver laden NFL draft this year. While Lee has average size and strength, he is very athletic and incredibly shifty once the ball is in his hands. Lee's junior year was halted by injuries and instability at head coach, but in his sophomore season Lee totaled 118 catches for 1,721 yards and 14 touchdowns in 13 starts.

Lee is projected to be a mid to late first round selection.

The plurality of fans voted they hope to hear the Eagles call the enjoyable name of "Ha Ha" Clinton-Dix late Thursday night.
