Fans Happy, Relieved After Eagles Win Over Giants
By Dan Wing
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Eagles fans were breathing a little easier Sunday evening, after the team snapped a three-game losing streak with a win over the New York Giants.
Most fans at Xfinity Live were kind of on the fence after the game -- happy that the Eagles won, but they also admit that it was a win over one of the worst teams in the NFL this season.
Still, a win's a win...
"At this point we've only lost to AFC teams, and we got a solid win in our division and that's what's important," this fan said. "You know, if we're at the top of our division come playoff time that's all that matters."
In the NFL, you have to beat the bad teams, and there are plenty of them coming up in the next few weeks, as this fan clearly noticed:
"The Eagles go 4-0 the next few weeks, including this week, and we're on the road to the playoffs. No question about it."
Quarterback Michael Vick left the game early with an injured hamstring, but backup Nick Foles looked good. So who would the fans like to see under center next week?
"I wouldn't mind seeing a change at quarterback. I feel as though that Vick has what it takes, but at the same time I think that Foles can hang in there and do a good job for us."
"I mean I like Vick, but I like Foles too. He did a good job."
"I'm rolling with Vick, you know. I'm going to say stick with Vick."
Head Coach Chip Kelly after the game did say that if healthy, Michael Vick will be the starting QB.
