Fans Are Already Sold On Michael Vick, Eagles
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Michael Vick was 15/25, with 203 yards and 2 TD's through the air, plus another 54 yards and another TD on the ground, in the Eagles 33-27 week one win over the Redskins. Vick did have one controversial "fumble" as well.
Throughout the preseason quarterback battle between Vick and Nick Foles, the opinion of Vick was skeptical, at best. After Vick's week 1 performance in Chip Kelly's fast-paced offense, people may be rethinking their opinion of the Eagles starting QB.
The WIP Morning Show asked on the Audio Roadshow app, "How do you feel about Michael Vick?" The options were: love him, so so, or hate him. Only 19% of fans said they "hate him", a far cry from the majority preseason opinion of Vick. (Full results here).
Similarly, people have quickly begun to change their opinion on the Eagles as a whole, who were picked by many to win somewhere in between six and eight games this season.
After only one week in the NFL, Mike & Ike asked on the Audio Roadshow app, "Who is the best team in the NFC East?" An overwhelming majority of voters, 67% in fact, said the Eagles. The Redskins, who won the same exact poll in the preseason, finished in last place with only 10% of the vote (Full results here).
