Family Speaks Out After 4-Year-Old Girl, Mother Found Stabbed Inside Apartment Fire
LEVITTOWN, Pa., (CBS) -- Authorities in Bucks County are investigating a murdery mystery.
A 22-year-old woman is killed along with her four-year-old daughter.
Both were found dead with stab wounds in their apartment in Levittown which had caught fire (See Related Story).
Family holds on tightly and wipes their tears after losing 22-year-old Ebony Talley and her four-year-old daughter R'Mani Rankins.
"It's hard, my sister just gone and then my niece," the victim's sister Tatiana Talley said.
Talley's apartment caught fire and that is where detectives say she was found dead. Her daughter died at the hospital, but both had stab wounds, and Talley, seven months pregnant.
"Today was her appointment to find out what she was having," Talley's sister said.
Family tells us police are questioning a man in the case. Tatiana says she was at her sister's apartment minutes before this all happened and that very man was there.
"Everything seemed normal. It's just crazy, just crazy that this happened to my family," she said.
The victim's uncle tells CBS 3 they dont know of anyone that wanted to hurt Talley or her little girl.
"When somebody stabs you multiple times it has to be hate, it has to be hate," the victim's uncle Christopher Burke said.
Police are continuing to investigate how the mother and daughter were killed, and if the fire was a cover up.
"Everybody just wants answers and to find it who did this and why," Burke said.
