Family Of 9 Displaced After Southwest Philadelphia House Fire

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – A family of nine is now displaced after a fire tore through their Philadelphia home early Thursday morning.
The fire started at about 1:30 a.m. at 66th Street and Grays Avenue in the Elmwood section of Southwest Philadelphia.
The fire was placed under control at about 1:50 a.m. and all nine family members were safely evacuated from the home.
The Red Cross was called to the scene and are assisting the two adults and seven children who are now homeless.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
