Families Displaced Following Early Morning Fire In Center City
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Crews battled an early morning fire that began inside a pizza store in Center City on Sunday.
Firefighters were called out to the three-story building in the 100 block of South 12th street at about 6 a.m. Authorities say the fire started inside Pizza Palace and quickly spread to the two apartments on the second and third floors. The building was quickly evacuated and the fire was placed under control.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the fire.
No injuries were reported. The Red Cross is assisting the displaced families.
