Families Bring In The New Year At Penn's Landing
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - They were dancing in the street, buying souvenirs before the big bang, and practicing those three important words.
"Happy New Year,"said the McGuigan family.
Hundreds of families arrived early for the second straight 6 p.m. Fireworks show at Penns Landing.
"We had such a good turn out last year," said Laurie Heinrichs with the Delaware River Waterfront Corporation.
About 15 members from McGuigan family walked around looking for that perfect spot to watch the Fireworks.
Every family we spoke to seemed to have the same idea in mind celebrate early, avoid the chaos.
With the fireworks on deck, and the sound system ready to go, just like the ice on the Blue Cross Riverrink, everything is expected to run smoothly.
