Fallen Soldiers Remembered In Bucks County
DOYLESTOWN, Pa. (CBS) - Residents in Doylestown, Bucks County are doing more than just having cookouts this Memorial Day weekend; they are taking the time to remember those men and women who sacrificed everything and gave their lives for our freedom.
"To us it is a day to honor our son and to remember all that he did for this country," said Janet Manion who lost her son Travis, a marine, in 2007. He was killed by enemy sniper fire in an ambush in Iraq. Soon after, Janet and her husband, Tom, founded the Travis Manion Foundation which supports families of fallen Americans.
"Travis had a thing that he said, a simple statement that he made before he went back, 'If not me, then who?'
"Everyday we get up, we say that to ourselves and we keep marching on like he would want us to," said Tom.

The backdrop for this Memorial Day ceremony was a steel beam from the World Trade Center. It was brought down from New York by the Travis Manion Foundation to keep memory of those who died serving alive.
"Never forget those brave heroes on 9/11, never forget the first responders that got there for them; and never forget all of the sacrifices that have come afterward, all of the brave Americans fighting for our freedom," said Tom.
The steel beam will be made into a sculpture to be on display as a reminder for those who have served and continue to serve our country.
