Fairhill Hit-And-Run Victim Taken Off Life Support
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - The 45-year-old victim of a hit-and-run accident in the city's Fairhill neighborhood died Thursday, according to police.
Lou Andro, a pizza deliveryman, was struck outside a pizza parlor near Whitaker and Wyoming streets Wednesday afternoon (see related story).
He was rushed to Temple University Hospital in critical condition. His family made the decision to take him of life support on Thursday, according to police.
Nearby surveillance captured the crash. Police believe the video will go a long way in tracking down the driver.
"It clearly shows the vehicle, a four door Lincoln, dark in color with tinted windows. That vehicle was last seen travelling north of Whitaker," Chief Inspector Scott Small said.
Police believe the Lincoln should have some front end damage.
