Facebook Releases Its Most-Posted Topics of 2014

MENLO PARK, Calif. (CBS) -- Every day on Facebook, people discuss the topics and news stories that are important to them.
Today, the social media company released its "Year in Review" ranking that looks at who and what captivated its users the most during 2014.
Facebook analyzed the past year's conversation on the social network to reveal the most talked-about topics. Globally, the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil drove more conversations than any other event in Facebook history.
Other big mentions include the Ebola virus outbreak, elections in Brazil, and the death of Robin Williams.
The most checked-in place of the year, according to Facebook, goes to Disney parks, including Walt Disney World and Disneyland.
Former president George W. Bush had the most-viewed "Ice Bucket Challenge" video in the US.
The most-talked-about song in the US was "Happy," by Pharrell Williams. And the most-talked-about movie in the US was Frozen.
