Facebook Feud Turns Violent In New Jersey
LUMBERTON, NJ (CBS) - A feud between two New Jersey women on Facebook took a violent turn and resulted in assault charges being filed.
Once best of friends, hurtful words posted on Facebook between Samar Sawaged and Andrea Gest escalated into a fist fight and assault charges. Sawaged and Gest, both of Lumberton, were taken into police custody early Sunday.
"Finally when she made the killer baby comment, I just snapped and posted something that I regret now," Gest said.
Gest says Sawaged threatened to hurt her unborn baby.
Sawaged says Gest posted personal family information for hundreds of their Facebook friends to see.
Each woman claims the other threw the first punch.
Both Gest and Sawaged are facing assault charges and have court dates pending.
