FAA Investigating Crash At Chester County Airport
WEST CHESTER, Pa. (CBS) - A plane crash at a Chester County airport Wednesday is under FAA investigation.
Authorities say the pilot, identified as Howard Cooper, was trying to land a 1977 Grumman at Brandywine Airport in West Chester when a strong wind gust hit his plane from the right.
He applied full throttle and the plane veered to the left, leaving the runway area and striking two unoccupied planes parked on the left of the terminal.
The pilot was taken to Chester County Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
