Exclusive: Victim Of Violent Attack At Southwest Philadelphia CVS Speaks

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The search continues for a suspect wanted in connection with a violent attack at a CVS pharmacy in Philadelphia.
Police say after robbing the store, he slashed an employee in the face.
On Tuesday night, the victim spoke exclusively to Eyewitness News about the frightening ordeal.
The victim considers herself lucky to be alive looking at her blood soaked clothes and a scar about six inches long across her cheek.
"I'm happy that it wasn't my eye or my throat because it just as well could have been my funeral."
She asked to remain anonymous but agreed to share her story hoping someone out there will recognize her attacker seen in a surveillance video, who is also caught on tape stuffing his coat with the items police say he stole.
"I knew he was a shoplifter, so I asked him to stop like real calm, like let's not make a real big deal out of this, it's not that serious."
The victim says she confronted the suspect inside the store, but he walked out on her. So she followed him outside and that's when he attacked her.
"He's like 'why you messing with me? Leave me alone, I haven't done anything.' From there, he slashed me in my face. I didn't know I was slashed then."
She says the suspect first tried to hail a cab, but ended up running away east on Haverford Avenue. It happened earlier this month in the 7500 block of City Avenue at the CVS pharmacy where she works.
"I bled pretty profusely. I was just a dripping bloody mess."
Police describe the suspect as a white male about 5'7" and 150 pounds with pale skin and light facial hair.
"To the person that did this? Just turn yourself in if you're a righteous individual."
