EXCLUSIVE: Family Looks To Public For Help Catching Feltonvile Hit-Run Driver

FELTONVILLE, Pa. (CBS) -- The mother of a 30-year-old man who was dragged for more than half a mile beneath the wheels of a hit-and-run vehicle is pleading for help catching the driver who left her son critically injured at Temple Hospital.
Lynne Borden tells CBS 3's Walt Hunter in an exclusive interview, "My son thought he was going to die. His body was shredded for no rhyme or reason."
Police say the victim, 30-year-old Ryan Lees, had stopped his motorcycle at a stop sign at A and Wyoming Avenues in Feltonville on Friday night, when an SUV plowed into the cycle from behind.
Lees' passenger, Alexis Martone, tells Hunter in an interview from her hospital bed that she was run down by the SUV, which drove across her back and arm, leaving her critically injured with a fractured pelvis, lacerated liver and other broken bones.
After being run over, Martone then realized the SUV was speeding off with Lees pinned beneath it. Police say the SUV, believed to be a dark green or blue Ford Explorer, finally stopped after six blocks--more than half a mile--before the driver pulled Lees' badly injured body out from under the car and threw it between two parked cars.
Martone says Lees told her the hit-run driver kept stopping and starting, hoping to dislodge his body from beneath the car.
Police hope someone who witnessed the accident around 11 p.m. on Friday night will come forward with information. They also believe neighbors who saw Lees' body being pulled from under the car on Tampa Street near Courtland can help identify the hit-run vehicle or driver.
