Emery Starts In Net As Flyers Host Chicago
By Matt Leon
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – After that impressive weekend sweep of a home-and-home series with the Penguins, the Flyers will be home on Tuesday night to host the Chicago Black Hawks.
On Saturday, the Flyers blanked the Penguins at the Center, 4-0, and then they went into Pittsburgh and held on for a 4-3 victory on Sunday. Those two wins improved the Flyers to 35-35-7, and with 77 points, they come into this game in second place in the Metropolitan Division.
Ray Emery will get the start in net in this one for the Flyers. This will be his first start since February 8th, when he kicked away 32 shots in a 2-1 win over Calgary. Emery started the only other game between the Flyers and Chicago this season, and it did not go well. He allowed six goals before getting pulled in a 7-2 loss.
Chicago comes to town with 92 points, that has them sitting third in the Central Division. They come to town fresh off a Sunday win over the Detroit Red Wings.
