Emergency PA Turnpike Repairs Cause Several Mile Backlog
LANSDALE, Pa. (CBS) --- The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission says emergency road repairs have shutdown the Southbound right lane of the turnpike.
The Turnpike says a several mile backlog has developed north of Lansdale, and motorists may want to seek another route to avoid delays.
If you're traveling on I-476 southbound between Lansdale Exit #31 and Mid-County Exit #20, be prepared for a single-lane traffic pattern on Tuesday.
Crews shut down the right lane between milepost A29.5 and A29.1 around 6:15am Tuesday to perform emergency road repairs in the vicinity of the mainline bridge over Green Lane.
A statement from the Turnpike says the emergency repairs are extensive, and the lane closure could remain in effect through the evening rush hour.
