Election Day 2019: Election Results For Key Races In Pennsylvania, New Jersey

PHILADELPHIA (CBS/AP) -- Voters across Pennsylvania and New Jersey headed to the polls today for Election Day. They casted their ballot for several key races across the Delaware Valley, including Philadelphia mayor and City Council and all the Assembly seats in New Jersey.
In Philadelphia, Mayor Jim Kenney cruised to a second term, easily defeating Republican challenger Billy Ciancaglini. Kenney received more than 82% of the votes.
Kendra Brooks, a Working Families Party candidate for City Council, declared victory in her race. The Working Families Party says Brooks is the first third-party candidate to win an at-large seat.
Democrats have made history in the Delaware County Council race. Democrats Christine Reuther, Elaine Schaefer and Monica Taylor all won, according to the Associated Press. It's the first time since the Civil War that the county has not been under Republican control.
And in the race for Delaware County District Attorney, Democratic challenger Jack Stollsteimer ousted Republican incumbent Kat Copeland. Stollsteimer becomes the first Democrat ever to win the position.
Meanwhile, in Chester County, Democrat Deb Ryan defeated Republican Michael Noone in the District Attorney race. Ryan received 54% of the vote (76,251 votes) to Noone's 45% (62,958 votes.)
In New Jersey's only State Senate race, Republican challenger Mike Testa ousted Democratic incumbent Assemblyman Bob Andrzejczak, who was appointed to replace Jeff Van Drew when he was elected to Congress.
