Police: Elderly Man Struck, Killed By Car While Crossing Street
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- An elderly man was struck and killed while crossing the street in the Allegheny West section of Philadelphia on Thursday.
Police say a 78-year-old man was crossing the street around noon when he was struck by a gray Volvo traveling eastbound on the 3200 block of Allegheny Avenue.
The victim was transported to Temple University Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The driver stayed at the scene.
No arrests have been made.
