Easter Seals of Southeastern Pa. Moves Into New, $4-Million Facility

LEVITTOWN, Pa. (CBS) -- The Southeastern Pennsylvania chapter of Easter Seals is celebrating the opening of a new facility in Bucks County.
Easter Seals spent about $4 million converting an old synagogue and school in Levittown, Pa. into a spacious new center for children with disabilities.
Carl Webster, executive director and CEO of the chapter, says they were desperate to move from the outdated facility they had used for forty years.
"It was a combination of a dance studio and a private residence that had been linked together," he recalls.
Webster says the new building features seven classrooms, two speech therapy treatment rooms, a technology resource center, and an outdoor playground.

"Programatically, it's allowed us to expand our services," Webster (right) tells KYW Newsradio. "It's allowing us to do more with the kids that we are serving. It just brings just so much to the organization. It clearly is a game-changer for us."
