Early Polls Show Republican Leads in Pa. Races
A new poll shows the Republican candidates continue to hold leads among LIKELY voters in the two marquee races on Pennsylvania's November ballot.
KYW's Tony Romeo reports that the bad news for Democratic candidate for governor Dan Onorato and Democratic candidate for Senate Joe Sestak is that they trail their Republican challengers by 11-points and 9-points, respectively, among likely voters surveyed in a new Franklin and Marshall College Poll.
The good news, says poll director Terry Madonna, is that there are still lots of undecided voters, and given the current economic climate, the Republicans could have an even bigger lead right now:
"So the leads that the Republican candidates have are still reachable, meaning the potential is there."
The F&M Poll shows Republican Tom Corbett leading 38-percent to 27-percent in the race for governor, with 31-percent undecided.
In the race for Senate, Republican Pat Toomey leads 40-percent to 31-percent, with 26-percent undecided.
