Eagles Vs. Redskins: Gold Stars And Demerits
By Spike Eskin
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – I sort of wanted the Eagles to win that game vs. the Redskins, just to get Andy Reid the win in what was likely his final home game as Eagles head coach.
Close but no cigar. Only one more game to have to watch, thank goodness.
Gold Star #1 - Eagles Fans For Not Booing Andy Reid
I've always said, people can boo whomever they want. Still, I'll have an opinion on it. I just think it would have been a bad look, and I'm glad it didn't happen.
Demerit #1 - Concussions
Fletcher Cox left this one with a concussion. I'm sure teams have had more, but it seems like the Eagles have had more of them than I've ever seen during the second half of this season.
Gold Star #2 - Colt Anderson
It had been since week five since the Eagles intercepted a pass. Anderson didn't play too well overall, but it was pleasing to see a pass actually intercepted.
Demerit #2 - Whomever Called A Play For Evan Moore
I think this is pretty self-explanatory.
Gold Star #3 - LeSean McCoy
During a season where many players would have rather protected themselves rather than risk injury in a meaningless game, McCoy stepped up and asked to play. If we're going to criticize players for quitting during times like this, we should reward what McCoy did.
Demerit #3 - Dallas Reynolds
I know, I can't blame Dallas Reynolds for being Dallas Reynolds, but he looked terrible out there.
honorable mention: Brandon Graham is a player.
