Eagles Turn Their Attention To The Giants

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Now that Denver is literally in the rear-view mirror, the Eagles are looking ahead to a struggling division rival.
The Eagles say they have put their 52-20 Denver debacle behind them and are looking forward to facing the New York Giants on Sunday. Michael Vick said the team was eager to get back to work and focus on the Giants.
"A lot of guys were enthused to get back on the practice field," said Vick. "Even though we have to crawl before we walk and take it one step at a time, you want that sense of urgency. That's what you have to feel."
Despite a 1-3 record, the Eagles appear to be in a division that is very much up for grabs. A win for the Eagles Sunday coupled with a loss by the Cowboys against the Broncos would put the Eagles in a first-place tie in the NFC East. DeSean Jackson knows the door is still open for the Eagles if they can correct their mistakes.
"Here we are going to play a division rival game," Jackson said. "We feel pretty good about where we still stand in our division, so that's all we can really look forward to."
The Giants are off to a horrible start and will wobble into Sunday's game with an 0-4 record. While this Giants' team won't resemble some of the teams in the past which challenged for Super Bowl births, lineman Todd Herremans will keep the same approach as in years past.
"We're not worried about their record," said Herremans. "We're not worried about our record. We have the mindset we need to win just like last week, and we're going to get better this week."
Despite three straight losses, the Eagles vow not to suffer a collapse similar to last season. Center Jason Kelce knows what's at stake on Sunday.
"There's no such thing as a must win game this early in the season," Kelce said. "But if there was, this would be a must win game. It's a divisional opponent and a rival right down the road. We're going in and we've gotta win this one."
