Eagles: Reid Reflects On Throttling of Cowboys
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- One day after his team's second straight win, Eagles head coach Andy Reid said everyone had a hand in the 34-7 rout of the Cowboys.
"(I'm) proud of our coordinators, coaches, and players for the effort that they put into this game and the way they detailed their work, and then went out and executed on the field," Reid told reporters at his Monday noontime press conference.
The Eagles got two touchdown passes from Michael Vick and a brilliant performance from LeSean McCoy, who rushed for 185 yards and two scores on 30 carries (see related story).
The Eagles held the football for more than 42 minutes, and the defense sacked Cowboys' quarterback Tony Romo four times and intercepted him once (Nmandi Asomugha).
Not only were the Eagles dominant in victory, they also came out of the game pretty healthy.
"Really, (LB) Akeem Jordan is the primary injury report," Reid said. "He has a concussion. He is feeling better today but he still has some symptoms, so he will go through that process."
RB Dion Lewis, who was deactivated for last night's game after being in a car accident earlier in the day, is feeling okay according to Reid, and will be ready to go when the Eagles return to practice on Thursday.
The Eagles have an extra day off, as their next game will be Monday night against the Chicago Bears at Lincoln Financial Field.
