Eagles Re-Sign QB GJ Kinne To Practice Squad
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Short on healthy quarterbacks, the Eagles are bringing back a familiar face. Well, sort of familiar.
GJ Kinne, who was with the Eagles in the pre-season, was re-signed to the Eagles practice squad. Nick Foles is recovering from a concussion he suffered Sunday, and Michael Vick continues to recover from a strained hamstring he suffered in the win over the Giants.
If neither Foles nor Vick is able to go on Sunday against the Giants, that would open the door for second round pick Matt Barkley to get his first NFL start.
Kinne, who had a brief stint with the Jets in 2012, has not taken an NFL snap in a regular season game. He also spent time in the UFL and Arena Football League.
Kinne played at the University Of Tulsa, and was signed by the Jets as an undrafted free agent in 2012.
