Eagles Place Dixon on Injured Reserve, Bring Back Landri
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - The Eagles don't return to practice until Wednesday, as they will get ready to visit Buffalo on Sunday.
But they did make a personnel move today, placing defensive tackle Antonio Dixon (top photo) on injured reserve with a torn tricep. To take his place on the roster, the Eagles have re-signed veteran DT Derek Landri.
Landri (right) had signed with the Eagles this summer but was one of the final cuts. This is his fifth NFL season -- his first four were spent in Jacksonville and Carolina. He was a 5th-round draft pick of the Jaguars in 2007, out of Notre Dame.
Dixon had four tackles in four games this season. He had really emerged in 2010, starting 10 games and finishing with 30 tackles and two sacks.
