Eagles Officially Name Coaching Staff
By Matt Leon
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- The Eagles have finally unveiled Chip Kelly's coaching staff.
Just about all the names had been rumored or reported to be on their way to town.
The offensive coordinator will be Pat Shurmur, he spent several years as an assistant with the Eagles on Andy Reid's staff. He spent the last two seasons as a head coach with the Cleveland Browns.
The defensive coordinator also comes to the Eagles by way of Cleveland. Bill Davis spent the 2011 and 2012 seasons coaching the Brown's linebackers. He has coordinator experience in the NFL, as he led defenses in Arizona and San Francisco.
Dave Fipp is the new special teams coordinator. He comes to the Eagles after spending the last two seasons as the assistant special teams coach for the Miami Dolphins.
Only two coaches remain from Andy Reid's staff last season. Former Eagles standout running back Duce Staley will coach the running backs after spending the last two seasons as the team's special teams quality control coach. Ted Williams will coach the tight ends. The 69-year-old Williams has spent the last 19 seasons in Philadelphia.
The rest of the staff looks like this:
Greg Austin (assistant offensive line)
Jerry Azzinaro (defensive line/assistant head coach)
Bob Bicknell (wide receivers)
Erik Chinander (assistant defensive line)
Mike Dawson (defensive quality control)
Matt Harper (assistant special teams)
