Eagles Keep Wary Eye On Cowboys' Jay Ratliff
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Thursday was another day of practice for the Eagles as they ready for Sunday's game at Dallas.
Among the problems facing the Eagles' offense in this one will be Cowboys' nose tackle Jay Ratliff, whom Eagles' offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg describes as a "very special player."
"They've got several. You can keep going, but Ratliff chews people up," said Mornhinweg.
Ratliff has 2½ sacks so far this season. Defensive end DeMarcus Ware leads Dallas with 9½ sacks.
Mornhinweg also credits the recent Dallas defensive resurgence to their ability to force turnovers:
"They win when they create turnovers, and it has gone the other way when they have turned the ball over. That turnover ratio is the biggest statistic that correlates to winning. It's a clear case."
The Cowboys have recovered 13 opponents' fumbles and also intercepted 13 passes.
