Eagles Get Back To Practice As Washington Looms
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - After their Tuesday day off, the Philadelphia Eagles returned to the practice field today as they get ready for Sunday's visit to the Washington Redskins (see related story).
Prior to practice, head coach Andy Reid revealed that second-round pick Jaiquawn Jarrett will split first team reps this week at safety with Kurt Coleman alongside Nate Allen. Safety Jarrad Page is being limited by a stinger.
In other injury news, Trent Cole continues to battle a calf strain (related story) and is sitting out practice today, but Reid says he is making progress.
Tackle Jason Peters also not practicing today as he continues to battle a hamstring injury. Defensive tackle Cullen Jenkins has a triceps strain, and Reid says he probably won't do much today, but adds he does expect him to play against the Redskins.
