Eagles Cheerleaders 'Down The Shore' For 2013 The Swimsuit Calendar Shoot

By Spike Eskin

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Jen Mooney and Michaelaann Guaracini each have personal connections to the Jersey Shore. From growing up spending summers in Ocean City, to meeting a future fiancee in Brigantine. Now, both as members of the 2013 Eagles Cheerleaders, they have a chance to give back to the area that has given so much to them.

Mooney, Guaracini and the rest of the 38-members squad have been 'down the shore' shooting this year's edition of the Eagles Cheerleaders swimsuit calendar, with the proceeds going to the Hurricane Sandy Relief Fund.

"It's so great to have an opportunity to give back, and help out with such a great cause," Mooney said.

Though the photos themselves will make you think of Summer, the weather on Tuesday was definitely not mid-July warm. "It's mind over matter," Mooney said, when asked how she'd keep warm while dressed in a bikini with temperatures in the mid-60's. "We're in our robes now, but we'll be in bathing suits when we go take the pictures. Barbara [Zaun, Eagles director of cheerleading] said it's all in your head," Guaracini said.

The shoot will cover some of the more legendary places at the Jersey Shore. "We're actually at Lucy the Elephant [in Margate] now, and then we're heading down to the beach," Guaracini said. The Cape May Lighthouse, as well as Morey's Piers in Wildwood were also on the list of landmarks for the shoot.

"Through this project we hope to show, in a creative way, the great resiliency and beauty of the shore communities that we all care about so much. We think fans will really enjoy seeing Eagles Cheerleaders alongside some of their favorite vacation spots in this calendar," Zaun said.
