Eagles Brace For Reid, Chiefs

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Andy Reid is doing is best to hide any sentimental feelings.
The former Eagles coach will stalk the sidelines for the Kansas City Chiefs on Thursday night when his team takes on the Eagles. It will be the first time Reid will face his former team, but he insists it will be all about football once the game gets underway.
"You put all that aside," said Reid. "We'll talk after the game. The guys all know. They're getting ready for their game against us and we're getting ready for our game against them. I have to make sure as a head coach my team is ready to play a good football team."
All of the Eagles insist they will be all business on Thursday, but many of Reid's former players will take time to greet their former coach before or after the game. Michael Vick admits it will be strange to see Reid wearing Chiefs' colors.
"It's definitely different knowing Coach Reid is on the other side," Vick said. "But that's just where our lives took us and the situation we are in right now."
Wide Receiver DeSean Jackson is one player who has a a strong bond with Reid. Jackson is excited to face his former coach but also glad the Eagles have an opportunity to put Sunday's loss to San Diego behind them.
"It's going to be great to play in the Linc after losing our first home game." said Jackson. "Hopefully, we can come back and get a big win. It's a big game for us with Coach Reid coming to town. A lot weighs on this game."
The Eagles face a tough test on Thursday. The Chiefs come to town with a record of 2-0 after wins over Jacksonville and Dallas. A victory would put the Eagles at 2-1 on the season with a trip to Denver on the horizon. The Eagles believe this is a critical game despite facing a non-conference opponent.
Yet, all eyes will be on Reid. The only question will be Whether Reid will adjust to standing on the visitor's sidelines.
"We'll be all right," Reid said. "I'll be able to find that sideline, I think."
