Drug Ring Member Sentenced For Conspiring To Sell Heroin At Jersey Shore
TRENTON, N.J. (AP) — Another member of a large-scale drug trafficking ring that sold heroin at the Jersey Shore is headed to prison.
Federal prosecutors say Jason O'Neal received a 12-year sentence on Friday. The 43-year-old Farmingdale man will also have to serve three years of supervised release once he's freed from prison.
O'Neal had pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute heroin.
O'Neal admitted that he served as a supervisor in the ring known as the Britt-Young DTO and distributed between 100 and 400 grams of heroin in furtherance of the conspiracy between February 2013 and March 2014.
Prosecutors say that 19 other members or affiliates of the ring have pleaded guilty to drug charges.
