Driver Strikes Pedestrian, Is Then Struck By Hit-And-Run Driver In Pennsauken

PENNSAUKEN, N.J. (CBS) - Two people were hit by cars in Pennsauken, Camden County Sunday. One of them died, and police are looking for the driver who drove away.
Authorities say a driver struck a man walking on Admiral Wilson Boulevard near Rosemont shortly after 3 a.m. He stopped to help the victim and the driver was then struck by a second car.
The pedestrian, 31-year-old Victor Guiterrez, was killed on impact.
The driver who struck Guiterrez, 55-year-old Ronale Thomas, is in serious condition at Cooper University Hospital with broken bones and a severe injury to his left side. He's undergone at least one surgery.
"I think that the person that did hit the second victim knew that he or she hit someone," Sgt. Chris Sulzbech with the Pennsauken Police Department tells CBS3 Eyewitness News. "There was a lot of activity going on in front of them and it looks like a pretty good hit to the car."
Police are asking the public's help in tracking down the driver of the second car. It's described as a silver or grey 2002-2006 Ford or Mercury, possibly a Taurus or Sable, and it's missing a passenger side mirror, which police found at the scene.
