Driver Flees After Striking Pedestrian On The Roosevelt Boulevard

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Police are searching for the driver who fled the scene after striking a pedestrian in Philadelphia early Wednesday morning.
The incident happened shortly after midnight on the Roosevelt Boulevard near 7th Street.
Investigators say a 22-year-old woman was crossing the Boulevard when she was struck by a car. The victim was taken to Temple University Hospital with a broken leg.
The driver fled the scene after striking the woman, police said. The victim was not able to provide a description of the striking vehicle.
The incident remains under police investigation.
