'Drive-Thru Ducks' Set Up Nest At South Jersey Chick-Fil-A
AUDUBON, N.J. (CBS) -- A South Jersey fast food restaurant is proving to be quite a popular place and it's not just because of the menu, either.
Charles Bohs owns the Chick-Fil-A on the Black Horse Pike in Audubon and got a phone call the other day from his landscaper. Seems a mama duck to be has set up a nest.
"Right inside of our drive thru lane just before our menu board," said Bohs, whose drive-thru has not been shut down by all the attention. "We've had people that have been stopping inside of our drive thru as they're going through and taking pictures. We're kinda calling them the drive thru ducks."
And he's taking efforts to protect mama and babies, once they hatch, with the help of a local wildlife expert. They'll put up some temporary fencing to protect the little ones until they and mama are ready to move on. He expects that'll take a couple of weeks and doesn't mind the inconvenience.
Besides, all this attention might sell some extra chicken.
