Drexel University's Squash Team Has A New, $2-Million Home
By Mike DeNardo
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - The new squash program at Drexel University is officially moving into a new home today.
Drexel launched a varsity squash program last fall. Now, they have a $2 million facility to play in. The Kline and Specter Squash Center has seven international courts -- five competitive and two recreational, says Athletic Director Eric Zillmer, "Seven courts, state of the art. (They're) modern and cutting edge."
The new squash center sees its first action on February 2nd, when the Dragons play Haverford College. Zillmer says, in October, the new courts will also be the site of qualifying matches for the US Open Squash Championships.
