Drexel Student Arrested, Charged With Burglary
TREDYFFRIN TOWNSHIP, Pa. (CBS) - A 19-year-old Drexel University student was charged Thursday morning with burglary and related offenses for an incident earlier this week.
Erik Thomas Mahal, of Berwyn, Chester County, was arrested in connection to a burglary that occurred on March 12th at a home in the 200 block ofHomestead Rd. in Tredyffrin Township.
Police say Mahal pawned jewelry items worth over $15,000. Investigators worked to recover the jewelry.
Mahal was arraigned Thursday morning and made bail which was set at 10 percent of $10,000. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for March 28th.
