Dozens Treated For Heat Related Illness At Phillies Game
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- At least 29 people at the ballpark had to be treated for a heat related illness.
Heat related problems were a serious concern for the more than 40,000 fans who packed Citizens Bank Park.
Most sweated it out, toweled off and stayed cool by drinking lots of water, but one woman was overcome by the heat.
Emergency personal at the park quickly came to her aid.

The woman was alert and responding to EMT's questions when she was taken away.
On a day when temperatures reached 100 degrees before 10 a.m., misting fans set up near the gates were a welcome sight for attendees, who despite the heat, still came to the ballpark.
"I don't get to come to that many games, I'm a real Phillies fan. My grandson is here so are my daughter and husband," said Joyce Marshal.
For six years vendor Mark Gerstely has been climbing the steps at the ball park selling food and beverages.
Friday night he was hauling about 50 pounds of beer and ice.
When asked if this was the toughest day at the ballpark, he said "Oh absolutely. Although tomorrow might even be worse."
Some fans had enough of the heat and by the 4th inning were heading for the exits.
"It's a shame because Cole [Hamels] is pitching great man! The heat is just too brutal in there," fan Denise Preston said.
Of the 29 people at the ballpark who were treated for a heat related illness, fortunately none of them are in serious condition.
