Dozens Of Dogs Rescued From North Philadelphia Homes
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - At least 32 dogs have been rescued from two adjoining properties in North Philadelphia Thursday afternoon.
Pennsylvania SPCA officers were called out to homes in the 2000 block of E. Victoria Street which sits in the city's Port Richmond and Bridesburg sections.
Philadelphia Police were the first at the scene conducting a narcotics investigation when they noticed the animals and contacted PSPCA officers to assist.
Authorities described the homes as unsanitary, filled with feces and urine.
Among the dogs removed from the homes were Pomeranians and Chihuahuas, according to the PSPCA.
