1 Person Injured During Standoff, Police-Involved Shooting In Doylestown Township
DOYLESTOWN, Pa. (CBS) -- The Bucks County District Attorney's Office is investigating an officer-involved shooting in Doylestown Township that left one person injured. Doylestown Township Police issued a shelter-in-place just before 9 p.m. Thursday for people living in the area of North Shady Retreat Road and Limekiln Road.
Officers were engaged in a standoff with a person on Carriage Lane. The district attorney's office confirms a police-involved shooting did happen there and that one person was hurt and taken to the hospital for treatment.
Investigators recovered a gun from the scene as well.
Police lifted the shelter-in-place around 10:30 p.m., but investigators from the DA's office remained on the scene all night until about 5 a.m. Friday to gather evidence.
Police say there is no further threat to the public. There's no word on the condition of the person in the hospital.
