Down the Shore: Visiting Cape May
by KYW's Donna Francavilla
Tourists come from all over to vacation at the Jersey Shore. According to a recent survey, a half-million Canadians visited New Jersey last year and more than half of them visited Cape May County. "We came here because the beaches are beautiful."
The draw? The survey showed 43 percent of visitors came for the beaches, and 28 percent because Cape May is family-oriented. Rob Muldoon is from Florida:
"It's nice, quaint little place."
Most visitors, like Tom Brooks, live within a three hour drive. Tom treks up to Cape May from Baltimore every year:
"My family has been coming here for 80 years. My grandfather bought a house here in 1938."
