Doug Pederson's Post Game Locker Room Speech: 'Trust The Process'
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Did Doug Pederson just quote Sam Hinkie? I think he did.
After the Eagles' Week 2 win over the Bears on Monday Night Football, Pederson addressed his team in the locker room and the Eagles posted the video on Twitter.
"Stick together," Pederson said. "Stick and trust your plan. Trust the process."
Trust the Process is the famous, or infamous, slogan of Sam Hinkie -- the Sixers' former general manager. 94WIP's Howard Eskin, a Hinkie hater, wasn't happy with Pederson's choice of words.
"I am going to talk to Doug," Eskin said on Tuesday's 94WIP Afternoon Show. "I'm serious. But I'm gonna tell him that phrase is owned by Scam Hinkie and you don't want to be associated with that."

"Hey, National Football League -- nobody said it was gonna be easy," Pederson said later in the speech. Ok? You gotta earn everything. You did that tonight. I'm proud of you."
I was skeptical of Doug Pederson, I'll admit it. But after two straight impressive wins and this subtle hat tip to Hinkie, I'm sold. Doug, you're the man.
