Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie Impressive At Eagles OTAs
By Ed Benkin
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – The Eagles continued with their OTAs Tuesday in South Philadelphia.
Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie was back at practice after missing Monday's session. The team said weather forced a delay in his flight back to Philadelphia. Wide receiver Jason Avant said Rodgers-Cromartie's speed is evident, and the key to his success is putting him in the right position."If you take a fish and put him on land, he doesn't work well," said Avant. "He's an outside guy and he's always been fast. He's accustomed to being out there."
Rodgers-Cromartie is back outside with the departure of Asante Samuel, and is being helped along by Nnamdi Asomugha. "I think [Asomugha's] little more vocal this year as far as talking to me and helping me understand some of the things that I might not know. He's trying to be a leader," Rodgers-Cromartie said.
Brent Celek is happy to be at the OTAs after a pair of off-season surgeries. Celek believes he'll be ready to go full speed at training camp next month, but is being cautious throughout the OTAs. "It's hard," Celek said. "But I know what's best for me and what's best for the team is for me to be smart about it."
The OTAs continue today and Thursday.
