Domestic Dispute In Cherry Hill Ends With Arrest, Stabbing
CHERRY HILL, N.J. (AP) — Numerous charges have been filed against a southern New Jersey man who allegedly stabbed his stepson's friend after the pair intervened in a domestic dispute between the man and his wife.
Cherry Hill police say 43-year-old township resident Richard Barrington face charges of attempted homicide, aggravated assault and weapons offenses stemming from Saturday's fight. He was being held Sunday on $300,000 cash bail, and it wasn't known if he had retained an attorney.
Police say Barrington's 20-year-old stepson intervened when the domestic dispute turned physical. The two men then started fighting, and the stepson's 19-year-old friend came to his aid.
The brawl soon ended and the three men went to other areas of the home. But Barrington allegedly retrieved some scissors and stabbed the stepson's friend in the chest.
